THE PHANTOM TOLLBOTH

When I was a young boy there was an animation movie that I used to love and even 'till today it brings me great and wonderful memories for those great moments of joy and daydreams that "The Phantom Tollbooth" made me feel. One production and adaptation from the great master of animation Chuck Jones along with the collaboration of amazing talented artists such as Mel Blanc in the voices and actor Butch Patric wonderfully performing Milo (Who you may remember him as Eddie Munster for the classical T.V. series "Los Munsters"), with even more feeling than anyone could ask for.

Filled with colorful magic worlds and fantasy that made me dream of being the next kid to receive the huge present box that would come sweeping thru my window to take me to a cartoon world in which I could go to the "Castle in the Air" so I could get to know the two graceful ladies: Rime and Reason and have the same adventures that Milo and his always close friend Tock had.

Well, I used to see that movie so much that even during the 1985 earthquake replica (September the 19th) my mother had to literally pull me out of the house scratching the floor because I didn't wanted to stop watching it, of course I was only 9 years old, cartoons ment the whole world to me... well, they still do, hee-hee.

You have no idea how much I have searched for this movie on DVD that, I far as I know, doesn't exists, so, If you ever have some leads as where to find it, please don't doubt on telling me, for I'll be forever grateful, specially if it has the original mexican dubbing that brings me so much font memories.

Thanks a million to Chuck Jones, for giving the world such a wonderful animation and being responsible of making my childhood simply wonderful.

Enjoy it and keep smiling!
