ZOMBIKS

Esto es algo de lo que he estado haciendo últimamente pala la marca Mostro, una serie de chicos zombie que se empezarán a sacar en distintos productos, ya pueden encontrar un primer poster y también stickers y en muy poco tiempo empezaremos a distribuir productos como playeras, pijamas y sudaderas. 

Hemos tenido gran respuesta por parte de la gente que nos ha acompañado en los evento más recientes en donde hemos estado, un producto muy reciente que está dando mucho de que hablar espero los disfruten.

Sigan esperando más noticias de Zombiks, habrá más material para todos uds. :)

This is something that I've been working on lately for the brand Mostro, a series of zombie kids that are being relized in different products, you can find now our first poster and stickers and in very short time we'll be launching products as T-shirts, pajamas and sweartshirts.

We had a great acceptance from people that's who's been accompanying us in the latests events we've gone to, a very fresh product that's making a lot of noise, I hope you enjoy it.

SENNA

I'll like to share with you this trailer from the documentary SENNA, now played in theathers.

It portaits the life and feats of Ayrton Senna, a competitive, passionate, kind and many times uncomprehended F1 pilot that is considered the best of all times; a most inspiring documentary I think you all should see of a Brazilian legend who lived not so long ago. :)

Quisiera compartir con uds. el trailer del documental SENNA, que ahora encontrarán en cines.

Nos presenta la vida y logros de Ayrton Senna, un competitivo, apasionado, amable muchas veces incomprendido piloto de Fórmula 1 que es considerado el mejor de todos los tiempos; un inspirador documental que creo que todos deberían de ver sobre una leyenda que vivio no hace muchostiempo. :)

DEFENDING YOUR LIFE

Here is a recommendation of a movie that I love to watch and make's me laugh to death.

I'm talking about Defending your Life, a 1991 comedy from actor/director Albert Brooks that talks about what happens you finally meet your soul mate... after you die! and all you have to go through to keep "moving forward" in this whole thing called Life.

With the collaboration of celebrities such as Meryl Streep (Julia), Shirley McLaine, Albert Brooks y Rip Torn that will make you think in a unique way about the "Othr side".

So if you want to enjoy yourself with the adventures and misfortunes of Daniel Miller (Albert Brooks) on how to defend his life before the Universe and see in a funny way and maybe not so away from the truth way, then be sure to watch it!

Esta es una recomendación que les dejo de una película que me encanta ver y que me mata de risa.

Se trata de Defending your Life, una comedia de 1991 del actor/director Albert Brooks que habla de qué pasa cuando finalmente encuentras a tu alma gemela... ¡Después de que te mueres! y todo lo que tienes que pasar para poder "seguir adelante" en todo este rollo lamado Vida.

Con la participación de celebridades de la talla de Meryl Streep (Julia), Shirley McLaine , Albert Brooks y Rip Torn que les harán refleccionar de una manera única sobre "El Otro Lado".

Así que si quieren divertirse con las aventuras y peripecias de Daniel Miller (Albert Brooks) para poder defender su vida ante el Universo y mirar de una manera chusca y quizá no tan herrada de lo que pasa después de la muerte, no pueden dejar de verla.

HOMENAJE A DON OSCAR GONZÁLEZ GUERRERO

Les informamos a todos nuestros amigos, lectores y a los interesados en ¡Ka-Boom! Estudio, que Don Oscar González Guerrero, recibirá un merecido homenaje por su trayectoria en el medio de la Historieta Mexicana, por su aportación al desarrollo de personajes y universos como "Hermelinda Linda," "Zor y los Invencibles" "Aniceto Verduzco", etc. A la generación de talentos desde 1960; así como por su desempeño como Director Artístico en varias Editoriales. Este homenaje es organizado por nuestro buen amigo Paco Baca y el Museo de la Caricatura de la Ciudad de México.

La cita es el próximo 4 de Febrero a las 6:00 p.m., en El Museo de la Caricatura, Donceles # 99 en el Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México.

GREAT ANIMATION / EXCELENTE ANIMACIÓN

This is an animation that was used as opening presentation for the Palm Springs International ShortFest 2010.

I really enjoyed watching it for starters because I love animation and secondly because I totally like that retro feeling. A most impecable animation and very entertaining to watch.

Me encantó verla, primero por que me fascina la animación y segundo porque disfruto totalmente ese estílo retro. Una animación por demás impecable y muy entretenida de ver.

SPLASH

When I was a child, one of the many movies I used to watch withot getting tired was Splash, from 1984, I remember that great story of two youngsters gather by destiny just for a few brief moment that, because of their great bond between them find themselves again 20 years after just to realize that they never could forget one another.

A wonderful picture full of laughter, romanticism and nostalgia that I really recomend to watch for those who still believe there exists in some place that special someone that completes us.

An eighties classic directed by Ron Howard with the performence from Tom Hanks, Daryl Hannah, John Candy (R.I.P.) and Eugine Levy.

Cuando era niño, una de las varias películas que veía repetidamente sin que cansara era Splash, de 1984, recuerdo esa gran historia de dos pequeños que se encuentan por destino tan sólo unos breves instantes y que por el gran vínculo que hay entrte ambos se reencuentran 2o años después sólo para darse cuenta que nunca pudieron olvidarse uno de el otro.

Una película maravillosa y llena de comedia, romanticismo y nostalgia que recomiendo ver para todos aquellos que todavía creen que existe en algún lugar aquella persona especial que nos complementa como ser.

Un clásico ochentero dirigido por de Ron Howard y con la actuación de Tom Hanks, Daryl Hannah, John Candy (Q.D.E.P.) y Eugine Levy.

I GUESS HE'D RATHER BE IN COLORADO

This is one of my favorite songs from John Denver, this song was also used in Centennial a wonderful T.V. mini series from 1978 that tells the story of how the State of Colorado was forged thru hundred of years of history and tough fighting. You all gotta see it, is strongly recommended!

Esta es una de mis canciones favoritas de John Denver, esta canción también fue utilizada en Sentenario una maravillosa mini serie de televisón de 1978 que habla a cerca de como el Estado de Colorado fue forjado a través de cientos de años de historia y ardua lucha. ¡Tienen que verla, es muy recomendable!

BLOODY MARY

Halloween is a very mysterious and magical time of the year in wich we can fantasize with all those monsters and the next life's beings that frighten us so much as kids... thought we can also have some fun and spend a great time and enjoy some creepy tales too, hee-hee :D

The idea for this piece came to me while I was doing the storyboard for a new Palomitas Country comic strip with a special Halloween subject, try the link so you all can check it out.

The illo was done with ink, markers, gouache and prismacolor.

Halloween es una época misteriosa y llena de magia en la cual podemos fantasear con todos aquellos monstruos y seres de ultratumba que nos asustan tanto en nuestra juventud... aunque también podemos divertirnos con ellos para pasar un genial rato y disfrutar de algunas historias espeluznantes también, je-je. :D

La idea para esta pieza se me ocurrió mientras realizaba el storyboard para una nueva tira cómica de Palomitas Country con tema especial de Halloween, aquí les dejo el link para que puedan checarla.

La ilustración fue realizada con tinta china, plumones, gouache y prismacolor.
